The Customer Care and Experience L&D Team's mission is to help contact center associates and representatives to grow, build efficiency, add value, and provide excellent service to our customers. The Learning and Development Manager is integral to the growth and support strategy of Customer Care and Experience. The role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end training program for Ally Invest Customer Care and new hire, strategic initiatives, and continuing education training. Additionally, the role will oversee and monitor supplier trainer's delivery of curriculum to their associates. The ideal candidate will be innovative, creative, adaptive, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced work environment. They will have experience in providing training, ideally in the Financial Brokerage Services industry, and be hardworking, dedicated, and willing to go the extra mile for our customers.
The Work Itself
Training Delivery
* Classroom training of Ally Invest employees for new hire, product, upskill, technology and more
* Facilitation of virtual training sessions for remote employees
* Administration of assessments including Proof of Learning Tests, Mock Call Certifications
* Floor Support during on-the-job training
* Training the trainers (T3) of our vendor trainers
* Support rollout and monitoring of online learning, such as compliance-mandated courses, for associates
Content Development
* Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Instructional Designers to help create training materials
* Collect and incorporate feedback on development efforts
* Suggests and executes improvements for training materials, as appropriate
Supplier Oversight
* Ensure delivery and consistent utilization of Ally training materials at the suppliers
* Monitor the evaluations of supplier trainers
* Evaluate the quality of trainers' performance through sampling, observation, and survey/questionnaires
* Set, maintain, and manage reporting of training evaluations and associate performance
Other Activities
* Collaborates with the Quality Assurance team to further enhance employee development and feedback
* Coach, develop and mentor participants
* Maintain training records and reporting including attendance and performance assessments
* Partnering with site leaders to ensure successful transition to the production environment
* Partner with policies and procedures to assist in updating procedures
The Skills You Bring
Required:
* FINRA Series 24, 7 & 63 or 66 licenses required
* 4 - 6 years' experience delivering investment or wealth management training
* Bachelor's degree in a related field
* Solid understanding and exposure to financial brokerage service industry
* Superior trading platform skills and organizational skills
* Solid written, oral, and presentation skillset
* Passion for delivering an exceptional experience to Ally Customers
* High energy, enthusiastic and motivational facilitation style
* Strong work ethic, and sense of urgency to complete objectives
Preferred:
* FINRA Series 4
* 7 or more years' experience as a trainer for a financial brokerage service institution in their contact center with heavy classroom experience
* Experience training and developing training programs designed to ensure and improve associate readiness
* Ability to conduct presentations to all levels of personnel including management
* Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and deliver training programs utilizing skills in instructional design, eLearning program design and training technologies
Additional Comments:
* Periodic travel is required, up to 30% of the time.
