We are seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic for our Decatur, AL facility.

You will be responsible for the maintenance of company owned tractors and tanker trailers.

We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated and well organized, self-starter with strong commitment to safety. You should be a strong team player with ability to work well with fellow mechanics/drivers/operations personnel.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs as necessary on over-the-road Class A, Class B tractors, and tanker trailers
Document/record work performed electronically on computer based maintenance system
Perform road repairs when necessary
Perform electrical/electronic repairs on tractors and trailers
Ensure fleet is in compliance with DOT regulations
Manage parts room within facilitys budget
Document/record Hazmat and OSHA requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma/equivalent
3-5 years strong vehicle maintenance and repair experience for over-the-road Class 8 and Class B tractors and trailers
Strong mechanical background, with above average computer experience/skills.
Ability to drive a Class A and Class B tractors
Electrical troubleshooting skills on 12 volt DC circuits
Diesel engine troubleshooting and repair experience
Welding knowledge and experience preferred
Energetic, highly motivated and well organized, self-starter with strong commitment to safety
Self-motivated with the ability to work alone
Must be able to work overtime depending on business needs
Solid work history
Valid Class A CDL preferred
