JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for project lifecycle management and may involve development and maintenance of functional and technical requirements for eCommerce and Intranet software solutions. The ability to analyze, design, test and implement systems is critical to the success of this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Responsible for translating users' business requirements into detailed functional and technical requirements for development, testing and implementation.
* Responsible for managing projects, preparing governance/due diligence material, leading and presenting meetings through project lifecycle.
* Responsible for developing and documenting functional and technical designs for the software, gathering the appropriate approvals, and reviewing design with the software development team and business teams.
* Prepare written documentation such as process flowcharts, special programming documentation and narratives that define systems, applications, problems, and solutions designed to enhance or resolve business situations
* Interview end-users to understand and document functional and technical requirements
* Translate end-user requirements into detailed program specifications
* Assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring creativity and innovation
* Some latitude for decision making with regard to assignments, generally outlining options and working with manager to propose final solutions
Required Education:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other relevant area
Required Length & Type of Experience:
* 5+ years experience with requirements specification and development, including process/functional design requirements gathering, use case development and process flow diagrams.
* Experience leading user workshops, defining requirements, writing use and business cases, and designing workflow processes.
* Experience in managing large projects from concept, due diligence, execution, and closing.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Familiar with most stages of the project life cycle from inception through post-implementation. Emphasis being placed on analysis, build and test.
* Excellent written and oral communications skills
* Solid organization, time management, and project estimating skills
* Willingness and ability to travel as required
