Job Summary
Develops and implements quality assurance standards, processes and controls. Develops methods for inspection, testing, sampling, and training. Evaluates production capabilities and recommends improvements. Provides quality assurance support to ensure that the products produced are manufactured in accordance to the specifications and requirements as defined by the customer and/or company. Respond to Customer identified issues and assist in maintaining the Quality Management System.
What Will You Do:
* Works with design and validation team to evaluate and communicate risk
* Responsible for Quality aspects of the APQP process
* Evaluation or risk in new products based on Design risks, manufacturing risks, and previous warranty information
* Team member in building reliability improvement.
* Creation or control plans and inspection plans, creation and updating of testing plans and criteria
* Supervises Manufacturing Bill Of Materials review
* Voice-of-the-Customer: Responsible for transfer of field insights to definition of specifications and requirements for new product development.
* Manufacturing Feasibility Study: team member, perform quality related aspects together with quality engineers build
* Process FMEA: team member, forms interface to NPI-project in case of necessary design measures to reduce quality defect risks
* Key Product & Process Characteristics KCC&KSP control plan work instructions: is responsible for supervision of KCC&KSP definition, control plans and quality relevant aspects in work instructions, in collaboration with quality engineers build
* Support Prototype Builds: team member, forms interface to NPI-project for required design measures
* Error and Mistake Proofing: managing in collaboration with quality engineers build
* Evidence of Product Specification & Test Completion / run at rate demonstration: responsible, select and witness the measurement of specific product and/or process characteristics. Attends run at rate tests
* Develop Manufacturing KPI Metrics: contributes to definition, signification involvement in definition of quality related KPIs
* Manufacturing OK to Produce Criteria: responsible for definition, verification, initiation of counter measures if required, tracking of measure implementation, escalation if required
Area of Impact
* Future field quality KPIs, customer satisfaction product design according to customer expectations
* Production and supply KPI design-for-manufacturing, reduction of non-conformance efforts
* Key metrics of design design schedule and development quality gates, in-time & in-budget development
Required Qualifications:
* Four-year college degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology or other degree with equivalent NPI experience.
* 3+ years of experience in product design processes in a manufacturing industry.
