Job Description
The Data Strategy and Data Ingestion team is responsible for supporting the conversion and migration to Aetnas Next Generation Clinical Platform(MedCompass). The role will initially focus on supporting ATV initiatives. This individual will set strategic direction for team and/or complex projects and or programs (e.g., national in scope) which may impact one or all segments. The individual will be responsible for seeing the strategy through to implementation. Sets the direction of the strategic business plan and translates into vision for staff/others as a business leader, influences all stake holders to support key projects/programs to ensure positive outcomes that deliver on results. Drives change in order to improve performance results, organization effectiveness and/or systems/quality/services (e.g., policies, processes or systems). Manages and oversees all facets of projects including objective setting, planning, consultation with business stakeholders, progress tracking, implementation, status updates and communication, etc. Employs project management disciplines and methodologies to drives process improvement activities and initiatives. Communicates project objectives, prioritizes and coordinates efforts, negotiates resources and time to ensure end-state projects are delivered timely and meet the business objective(s). Applies critical thinking to identify, develop and vet win-win solutions in collaboration with business partners. Exhibits flexibility to adjust to tight deadlines and changing project requirements. Prepares documentation to support all phases of projects (planning, tracking, communications, etc.).
Required Qualifications
10+ years Managed Healthcare / Insurance industry experience related to Project Management/ Leadership. Experience managing large budgets. Program/project management experience related to system implementations, can work closely with the different levels within the organization (management to front line staff) to understand as well as provide an overview of the projects that are either being defined, defined and underway or being implemented. Comfortable discussing issues with Sr Managers, good business acumen. Solid experience with System Development methodologies, AGILE is a plus but not necessarily a requirement. Able to translate technical requirements. Knowledge of Aetna systems that support Commercial, Medicare or Medicaid businesses. This role will be assigned to work with Member and Provider data for the clinical platform and must be comfortable with working with technical teams as they will be attending calls related to environment setup, APIs, reducing system batch files and supporting the overall system performance of the new clinical platform. Demonstrated negotiation skills. Proven track record managing complex projects and or programs that resulted in cost savings.Multiple years proven leadership experience setting strategic direction and influencing change that resulted in quantifiable positive outcomes
