POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will oversee operations and staffing, responsible for the ABM operations at a specific site. The APM will manage the work within the appropriate budget requirements and work closely with the Project Manager as a liaison between the building owner or building management company and ABM operations. Work with any customer issues as well as employee relations issues.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
* Tour building daily for inspection, tenant contact and follow-up.
* Direct and supervise scheduling of work load adjustment with the utility crew and janitors.
* Inventory consumable goods (towels, tissue, etc. perform written inspection of designated work stations nightly.
* Oversee janitor personnel in working methods and procedures.
* Follow up on all completed work assignments and return completed assignment to the originator.
* Perform any general cleaning/porter job functions as needed to ensure all cleaning and service functions are being completed to customer satisfaction.
* Personnel -- be aware of the fundamentals of good personnel management and ensure building is in compliance with all State and Federal guidelines as well as ABM policies.
* Staffing -- Make sure proper staffing levels are maintained and coordinate personnel requisitions with the Project Manager.
* Ensure payroll processes are compliant with ABM procedures and FSLA guidelines, especially overtime rules and regulations.
* Responsible for all risk and safety policies and procedures at specific worksite.
* Perform all other duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Requirements
* A High school graduate or equivalent GED preferred but not required
* Experience and Training in the cleaning industry or building management field is preferred.
* Previous cleaning experience desired but not required.
* Previous supervisory experience desired but not required.
* License(s): Valid State driver's license.
* Good communication skills both written and verbal.
