What youll do on a typical day:
* Act as first line of communication with customers and operations; advise customers of service failures and coordinate resolutions
* Communicate with customers, vendors and operations to ensure customer commitments are met
* Provide guidance to operations staff with respect to personnel, quality and safety
* Mentor and lead a team; provide industry expertise, guidance and support Monitor service providers
* Interview and train new employees, conduct employee reviews and establish detailed performance goals
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, youll need:
* 2 years of experience in transportation, operations, customer service, distribution or logistics in a manufacturing environment
* Experience with Windows applications and Microsoft Office, including creating complex formulas in Excel
* Availability to work extended hours as needed, which may include early mornings, evenings and weekends
Itd be great if you also have:
* Associate degree in Logistics, Transportation or Business
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
* The ability to perform complex analysis of data, processes, policies, procedures and/or systems; produce unambiguous, comprehensive and accurate interpretations
* Effective organizational and leadership skills, including using a variety of interpersonal styles and communication methods to effectively adapt to new work structures, processes or cultures
* The ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
This job requires the ability to:
* Lift up to 25 lbs.
