Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.
Commercial Real Estate (CRE) operates throughout the United States, as well as Canada and the United Kingdom, to deliver a comprehensive platform of financing and banking products for experienced commercial real estate companies including balance sheet lending, CMBS origination and distribution, loan servicing, agency financing for multifamily properties, and debt and equity capital for affordable housing.
The Commercial Mortgage Pursuit Associate is accountable for the large and more complex loan analysis on standardized templates and communicates preliminary sizing and pricing indications to Group Head(s) and Banker based on Business Unit Policies. Perform advanced functions to support commercial real estate origination, underwriting and/or asset management real estate analysis, underwriting and/or marketing functions, e.g., due diligence, document processing, research, financial/statistical analysis, etc. related to a transaction. Works with higher level staff to understand client needs and requirements and coordinate efforts to service clients by working closely with underwriting, pricing, and loan administration departments. Develop and maintain knowledge of loan products and provide market intelligence to maintain competitive edge.
Duties include ensuring collected data meets federal agency requirements, analyzing financial statements, tax returns, projections and industry trends to be used in making credit decisions. May be responsible for conducting complex credit investigations and analyzing complex credit information. Prepares credit reports. Monitors credit agreement compliance. Mentors lower level Credit Analysts.

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business units risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
Required Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: commercial real estate lending, multifamily real estate lending, or commercial mortgage backed securities
* 3+ years of commercial mortgage experience
* 3+ years of commercial real estate experience
* 3+ years of commercial underwriting experience
Desired Qualifications
* Strong technical writing skills
* Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
* Financial analysis research, underwriting, and due diligence experience; related to multi family properties or commercial mortgage backed securities originations
* Ability to develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of loan products and provide market intelligence to maintain competitive edge
* Knowledge and understanding of bank, Government Sponsored Enterprise (GSE), and Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities lending programs and credit policies
* A BS/BA degree or higher
* Ability to achieve high production and quality standards
* Ability to address and resolve complex customer issues
* Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management
* Ability to be proactive, innovative and creative in meeting customer and enterprise needs
* Ability to coordinate completion of multiple tasks and meet aggressive time frames
* Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
