Job Summary:

Are you passionate about leading others and have a background in a transportation maintenance? If so, the Transportation Engineering Services Manager role may be the right fit for you!

You will report to a senior manager of Transportation Engineering Services.

Responsibilities:

* You will provide primary technical oversight and direction for the troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and predictive maintenance of the Walt Disney World bus fleet.
* You will oversee the safety, reliability, regulatory compliance, and show quality aspects of over 450 buses.
* Provide leadership to approximately 20 to 35 union mechanics per shift and develop a high level of teamwork and cooperation.

Basic Qualifications:

* Five years working experience in a maintenance-related field
* Three years of leadership and management experience in a maintenance environment
* Understanding of troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance on transit bus and truck equipment, including suspension, drive train, brake, tire and air conditioning systems.
* Diagnostic thinking and use metrics to understand business direction and find improvements.
* Understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and subassemblies related to transit bus equipment.
* Creative and tactical planning with a desire to lead change to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency.
* Influential leader with the skills to handle many tasks while under time constraints.
* Experience building and leading teams in a compound environment.
* Orderly approach to overcoming obstacles.
* Convey ideas effectively to all levels and with appropriate syntax.
* May be asked to work evenings, holidays, weekends, and different shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Working knowledge of maintenance reporting and scheduling systems such as Maximo.
* Working Knowledge of SAP.
* Experienced in the use and maintenance of transit bus software systems such as Clever.

Required Education

* Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field or equivalent experience

Preferred Education

* Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
