How will you make an impact?
This role is responsible for global operations finance for a 1billion dollar division representing 14 manufacturing sites and 5 distribution centers with 1600 associates in total. This includes leading a dispersed team responsible for the operations sites and ensuring strong business partnering with the VP of global operations and quality. The director has direct responsibility for leading ongoing automated reporting enhancements to enable more time spend on value-add analysis. Additionally, there are opportunities for margin improvement projects and controllership enhancements, which can be realized in collaboration with cross functional teams.
What will you do?
* Provides financial oversight and leadership for the operations divisional financials for weekly risk and opportunities, monthly reporting and forecasting, quarterly QBR reporting and leadership staff meetings.
* Drives the execution of the AOP by the accountable operations team members via robust business partner support and world class financial reporting.
* Develops and utilizes proactive, early indicator reporting metrics to communicate financial risk or opportunities in a timely manner to senior management.
* Implementation and oversight of appropriate systems, control/process standards, accounting principles, policies and reporting practices.
* Partners with Division Finance leaders to solicit feedback to develop and implement step level improvements in reporting and continuously make process and system upgrades to enhance efficiency and productivity.
* Drives continuous improvement with the current reporting roadblocks within Operations Finance. Created, developed and implemented reporting solutions to help move function toward goal of elevating divisional reporting to the next level.
* Provides robust analysis which covers the areas of production volume planning, cost structure, capacity planning, SIOP, productivity, E&O, capital expenditure and inventory analysis etc.
* Builds upon vision to elevate operations finance as a world class organization by executing on both the personnel and process improvement road map.
* Supervises a direct team of 7 and 17 total and demonstrates high performance, visible leader by leading by example. Elevates and trains staff to assist in reaching our goal of being the most admired function within the group.
* Leads budgeting, forecasting, and financial/strategic planning activity for the division operations function.
* Implemented new programs via coaching and mentoring that enhance the finance team members performance and organizational productivity.
* Acts as a subject matter expert on technical accounting, SOX regulations, and GAAP
* Supports sites and follow-up on internal audits results/findings resolution
* Drive best practices throughout the global operations finance function, ensuring standardized approaches to reporting and processes
How will you get here?
Education:
* Bachelor2019s degree in business (specialization in finance preferred)
Experience:
* A minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience with management experience inclusive of finance leadership roles and/or deep operations finance expertise
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
* Experience with a matrixed organization and dispersed teams
* Leadership, accountability, accuracy, clear and concise communication skills
* Prior business partnering and finance experience a must have
