JOB SUMMARY

Develops and manages security for more than one IT functional area (e.g., data, systems, network and/or Web) across the enterprise. Assists in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures (e.g., user log-on and authentication rules, security breach escalation procedures, security auditing procedures use of firewalls and encryption routines, and eDiscovery procedures).

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Prepares status reports on security matters to help develop security risk analysis scenarios and response procedures
* Assist in identifying, prioritizing, and coordinating the protection of critical cyber defense infrastructure and key resources.
* Conduct and/or support authorized penetration testing on enterprise network assets.
* Perform penetration testing as required for new or updated applications.
* Apply and utilize authorized cyber capabilities to enable access to targeted networks.
* Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications
* Responsible for the tracking and monitoring of software viruses and solutions; consults necessary workgroups
* Enforces security policies and procedures by administering and monitoring security profiles; reviews security violation reports and investigates possible security exceptions; updates, maintains and documents security controls
* Involved in the evaluation of products and/or procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness
* Provides direct support to customers, business and IT staff for security related issues. Provides support to Legal for eDiscovery related issues
* Educates customers, business and IT staff about security policies and consults on security issues regarding user built/managed systems
* Represents the security needs of the organization by providing expertise and assistance in all law, compliance and regulatory projects with regard to security issues
* Perform real-time cyber defense incident handling (e.g., forensic collections, intrusion correlation and tracking, threat analysis, and direct system remediation) tasks to support deployable Incident Response Teams (IRTs).
* Collects and compiles historical data on system access and generates reports and provides qualitative analysis
* Works cross-functionally to ensure solutions meet the needs of the enterprise

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Possess acumen for attention to detail
* Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity and privacy.
* Knowledge of network security architecture concepts including topology, protocols, components, and principles (e.g., application of defense-in-depth). Policy compliance tracking, monitoring, and education
* Knowledgeable about current IT cybersecurity threat landscape
* Knowledge of network traffic analysis (tools, methodologies, processes). Evidence collection, tracking and case management for eDiscovery positions

EDUCATION

BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience
Preferred Certifications: CompTIA Security + or CySA+, CISA, (ISC)2 SSCP or CISSP, GIAC GPPA or higher

RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

* IT and security work experience with a broad range of exposure to systems analysis and applications configuration across a large (Fortune 500-level) enterprise, database design and administration information security
* IT administration experience
* eDiscovery experience required for some positions

Time Warner Cable (TWC) was an American cable television company. Before it was purchased by Charter Communications on May 18, 2016, it was ranked the second largest cable company in the United States by revenue behind only Comcast, operating in 29 states. Its corporate headquarters were located in the Time Warner Center in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, with other corporate offices in Stamford, Connecticut; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Herndon, Virginia. From 1971 to 1981, Time Warner Cable, as Warner Cable, owned Dimension Pictures.

It was controlled by Warner Communications, then by Time Warner. That company spun off the cable operations in March 2009 as part of a larger restructuring. From 2009 to 2016, Time Warner Cable was an entirely independent company, continuing to use the Time Warner name under license from its former parent (including the "Road Runner" name for its Internet service, now Spectrum Internet).

In 2014, the company was the subject of a proposed purchase by Comcast Corporation, valued at $45.2 billion; however, following opposition to the deal by various groups, along with plans by the U.S. government to try to block the merger, Comcast called off the deal in April 2015. On May 26, 2015, Charter Communications announced that it would acquire Time Warner Cable for $78.7 billion, along with Bright House Networks in a separate $10.1 billion deal, pending regulatory approval.

The purchase was completed on May 18, 2016; Charter had continued to do business as Time Warner Cable in its former markets, but has now re-branded these operations under the Spectrum brand in most markets (even Charter launched this brand in 2014), though it will continue to use the roadrunner.com email addresses and adelphia.net email addresses to new customers.
