What will you be responsible for?
Provide workforce insights through data and analytics that enable business decisions and timely action. Provide leaders with tools and information to manage and forecast workforce needs and associated labor costs and supervise key people metrics (e.g. inclusion and diversity, hiring and attrition, engagement).

Strategic Workforce Planning
* We conduct external research to understand key trends in the mineral industry, global labor market, global higher education projections and global economy as they relate to forecasting human capital
* We craft and develop a strategic workforce planning model that integrates human capital information with financial and strategic planning data
* We partner with Business Planning to establish processes and tools that compliment the enterprise business planning process
* We develop, support and continuously improve the workforce planning process and practices to provide reliable resource forecasting data that aligns and supports the various enterprise portfolio management tools
* We manage the synthesis of all regional workforce plans into one coordinated portfolio to provide a global full-field view in support of the human capital strategy
* Global Workforce Analytics
* We establish standard metrics and dashboards across the employee life cycle that support leaders in developing and maintaining hard-working, diverse and inclusive teams
* We partner across the HR function to conduct analysis that advises human capital strategies and programs
* We develop short and long range metrics that drive forecasting capabilities and strategic insights to mitigate risk and align with business opportunities
* We identify and/or craft data gathering methods, including surveys, to collect feedback from the workforce (e.g. engagement surveys, exit surveys)
* We handle workforce data integrity and creditability through partnering with HRIS, IT and data quality resources
* We establish clear roles and responsibilities for the team; works with team members to set annual objectives. Coaches and develops direct reports; establishes a hard-working, diverse and inclusive team.
* We establish effective internal and external relationships that enable business results.

Your training, skills, and experience checklist
Here is what we would need to see from you!
* Bachelors degree and 10+ years of experience in human resources, finance, applied mathematics, business statistics, or related field.
* Experience crafting and implementing workforce planning and analytics programs.
* In-depth knowledge of project management and portfolio management tools and software.
* Ability to do sophisticated analytical work at both a big picture and very detailed level and communicate strategic insight from large and unstructured data sets.
* Sophisticated knowledge of excel and experience working with end user Business Intelligence and data visualization tools like Tableau.
* Background in statistical analysis; ability to develop reliable and valid analysis.
* Ability to work within a multinational corporation with people from various cultures and areas of the business.
* Experience leading a team of direct reports.
Working conditions and location
Where you will be located!
* The position is located in the Denver corporate headquarters.
* Position may be required to travel in order to assist domestic and international sites with implementation and ongoing support.
* Willingness to put in extra hours as travel, projects and priorities dictate; ability to accommodate meeting times outside typical business hours to attend global calls, etc.
The salary range offered for this role is $127,000 to 167,160. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidates salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the companys performance and their own individual performance. This role also will be eligible for participation in a discretionary long-term incentive program, pursuant to which an employee may receive awards based on their level and individual performance.
