Job Description

This position will support the Microsoft Real Estate and Security COI (Center of Innovation) team by making the business more efficient and drive best practices across our diverse lines of business.

Rhythm of Business

* Establish and own the end to end business rhythm; incorporating finance, corporate and RE&S global activities.
* Oversee the preparation for, and facilitation of, monthly business review meetings, highlighting financial variances and business performance against key initiatives.
* Develop and manage annual organizational priorities.
* Develop and publish quarterly business review presentations.
* Coordinate and facilitate All Hands meetings, Directs offsite, annual team offsite meetings, and other key organizational alignment meetings.
* Facilitate monthly leadership team meetings to ensure tight and effective sessions.

Community

* Drive community across the team and connectedness with peer and global teams. Maintain cross regional peer connections.
* Support leadership in recognizing great work through spotlights in Global RE&S All Hands meetings and submissions for corporate and RE&S reward programs.

Budget/Forecasting

* Steward the annual planning process, forums and commitment establishment.
* Manage team reporting tools to track progress against [regional] [pillar] commitments.
* Drive budget planning, tracking, and forecasting for [the regional][pillar lines of business in collaboration with finance stakeholders.
* Serve as the primary point for control and aggregation for vendor performance management tracking, assessment, and feedback.
* Manage department T&E and controllable line items within budget.

Strategic Initiatives

* Lead cross team projects to ensure regional and business alignment on key strategic RE&S initiatives. Own and drive deployment of selected programs or initiatives, working either with delegated authority or via strong influence. Convene and manage virtual teams, where needed, in order to drive execution of assigned programs and initiatives.
* Represent the team with partner groups as required to drive business initiatives, ensure regional perspective is represented, and needs/asks are communicated.

Required Qualifications:

* A Bachelor's degree in business management, project management, finance or engineering
* At least 5 years of post-college experience in business management, engineering, technology product management, or corporate real estate
* Strong communications (written and verbal) and collaboration skills; proficient in English (written and spoken) and demonstrated experience in negotiations and influencing skills
* A willingness to travel up to 5 % of the time

The successful candidate must have the following skill set:

* Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
* A proven ability to influence and collaborate across groups and build virtual teams.
* Be self-motivated and directed, and require minimal supervision.
* Strong project management, organizational and entrepreneurial skills.
* Proven analytical experience.
* Ability to plan at both a strategic and implementation level.
* Background knowledge of supplier protocol (e.g. method of delivery, quality of service, pricing and reporting), financial analysis and budget processes, contract administration and proposal process, procurement principles, vendor quality and productivity criteria and best practices in the areas of implementation, information, and service provider relationships is a plus.
