Scrum Master II
As a Scrum Master II within Liberty Mutual's Global Digital Services (GDS) Secure DevOps Platforms team, you'll play a critical role in shaping the way teams deliver solutions to enable a Fortune 100 organization. You will rotate through multiple scrum development teams over time, acting as their Scrum Master both to enable the team's successful delivery of services but also to grow the agile skills and mindset of the team members. Additionally, you will coach our agile service delivery teams in their use of Kanban and/or Scrum, again with a focus on helping the team members grow their use and understanding of agile principles and practices. Your contributions in this role will be an important element of our agile development and delivery practice, helping realize our vision to continuously improve the way we work.
About the job:
* Will rotate across multiple scrum teams over time, acting as a role model for the Scrum Master position for the team members. Oversees scrum process and coaches the teams on how to use scrum and Agile practices and methodology.
* Facilitates transparency, inspection, and adaption.
* Lead daily scrums, sprint reviews, planning meetings, and retrospectives to ensure full team engagement with a focus on growing the capabilities of all team members.
* Manages interdependencies between agile teams.
* Works with the Product Owners to support continuous planning, and to keep work backlog healthy and prepared for execution.
* Shields the teams from external interference to enable optimal functionality and productivity.
* Anticipates and addresses potential or actual impediments to team delivery (cultural barriers, logistic challenges).
* Coaches multiple service delivery agile teams on the use of Kanban and/or Scrum.
* Provides guidance and insight throughout all service delivery organizational positions (directors, managers, product owners, team members)
* Focuses on increasing the skill and understanding of Agile practices and values across all interactions.
Qualifications:

* Strong knowledge of Agile principles and concepts
* Displays strong communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team building skills.
* Advanced presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
* Bachelors degree in computer science or a related discipline and at least eight, typically ten or more years related experience as a project team member, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
* Scrum certification preferred.
* Experience working in a scaled agile framework a plus.
* Thorough knowledge of business functions and extensive understanding of business operations, strategies, and objectives.
