Job Description

We are seeking an Account Specialist to join our DNA team in Burlington, NC! This position works closely with various sections of the department to handle issues with paternity cases that are identified upon arrival in the lab and later upon review.

This position will have first shift hours from 11:00AM - 8:00PM, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:

* Handle incoming calls from clients.
* Effectively communicate testing procedures to direct-to-consumer customers.
* Respond to customer inquiries and address any concerns, via phone call, fax, and/or email.
* Provide exceptional customer service to all clients.
* Schedule customer DNA collection appointments.
* Interact with all appropriate departmental personnel as necessary to resolve case issues.
* Communicate with state/government agencies, physicians, attorneys, judges, and others.
* Assist the other Account Specialist if they are out of the office or have extra high volume.
* Process credit card transactions.
* Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Requirements:

* High School Diploma or equivalent required
* Associates degree or higher preferred
* Confidentiality is a must.
* 1 - 2 years of administrative or customer service experience - in a healthcare related industry highly preferred
* Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office - Excel and Word
* Must be able to work in a team oriented environment.
* Ability to create professional correspondence.
* Spanish as a 2nd language highly desired.
* Must have excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
