Job Description
In this position, you will be a member of the Data Center Design Power and Performance (DCD PnP) team. The DCD PnP team is responsible for projecting and optimizing the power, binsplit, thermals, and power-limited performance for Data Center products including Xeon, Xeon-D, and Atom-based SoCs. The DCD PnP team also works with post-silicon validation teams to ensure accuracy and correlation to pre-silicon modeling. We offer exciting opportunities to develop technical depth and leadership.
Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Identify and drive power and thermal optimizations to meet SOC PnP goals
* Post-Silicon thermal optimization and validation execution for a Data Center product
* Working with Platform Thermal Engineers to ensure high quality thermal margin data analysis
* Validate and improve SOC thermal features to meet and exceed customer thermal requirements
* Define segment-specific workloads for power and thermal specifications
* Influence product definition starting from Pathfinding and Technology Readiness
* Deliver power data to partners to enable power delivery design, thermal modeling, and performance optimization
* Participate in SKU definition to match PnP capabilities with manufacturing and marketing needs
* Collaborate worldwide with DCD PnP and cross-functional partner teams including SOC and IP Design, Architecture, Performance, Power Management, Power Delivery, Marketing, Planning, and Process

Colorado Pay Transparency Law requires that Intel discloses the compensation for jobs which could be performed in Colorado. Intel anticipates that the annual base pay range for this role in Colorado is min $95,360.00 - max $143,140.00.
In addition to base pay, regular Intel employees are eligible for an Annual Performance Bonus (APB) and Quarterly Profit Bonus (QPB). Payout of APB is subject to eligibility and other program conditions as well as the Companys performance to its operational and financial goals. Payout of QPB connects Intels employees to the quarterly profits of the Company. Employees in eligible sales and marketing positions receive commission in lieu of APB but are eligible for QPB. Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must have a Bachelors degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering and 3+ years of experience in:
* PreSi power and thermal analysis and modeling
* Power performance tradeoffs and optimizations
* Industry standard power estimation tools
* Programming or scripting preferably in perl python or TCL
* General computer architecture and silicon concepts
* Thermal modeling and thermal spec for SoCs
