In this internship, you would have an opportunity to work on multifidelity/multi-information source modeling methodologies in SigOpt.
This project would involve:
* Exploring the variety of sources of information available during internal design processes
* Developing a framework to efficiently incorporate this information into our existing modeling tools
* Implementing testing and documentation of your framework in our production setting
* Prepare an article on this topic for submission to a journal/conference
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
Minimum Requirements:
Candidate must be pursuing a Masters or PhD in Computer Science or Mathematics or Statistics or Operations Research or Data Science or a related technical discipline.
6+ month for each of the following technical skills:
* Basic programming ability in Python
* Experience writing computational code
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with:
* Knowledge of multifidelity/multitask Gaussian processes
* Experience working on production code (ideally in an open source setting)
* Publication record
* Background in optimization or machine learning
