BASIC FUNCTION OF JOB

The Senior Manager, Operations is responsible for leading and directing the operational team supporting sales. This is accomplished by serving as the primary contact for the sales leadership team on all operational issues, initiatives, metrics, etc. The Senior Manager, Operations will manage a team of individuals focused on the processes and programs predominantly benefiting the respective sales segments supported, and for driving needed requirements back through the appropriate areas of the business. By driving efficiency to the tools and support provided to the sales teams, the operations team should enable sales to spend more time in client facing activities.

1. Provide management direction and prioritization to the team

2. Set teammate goals and support the individuals as needed to achieve

3. Represent operations to the sales teams by participating in sales team calls and meetings as required

4. Represent sales back to the operations team to ensure understanding of sales focus and support needed

5. Work cross functionally with the other operations teammates, IT and finance to drive improvement across all operational areas

6. Identify processes needed to improve our efficiencies and help to drive to resolution

7. Document new policies related to sales operations and drive communication out

8. Ensure sales compliance with documented policies and procedures, and help to train if needed ie: Branch Guidelines, unfunded commission adjustments

9. Drive team accountability to hit operational metrics ie: Client Specific inventory, client write offs, Change of Channel Partners, etc.

10. Manage appropriate items tied to Sales Operations budget

11. Develop and track to applicable performance metrics

12. Assist Sales with diversity initiatives, client calls, and written responses, as well as manage to a Small Business Subcontracting Plan. Duties include, but are not limited to, supplier profiling, buyer education/monitoring, client/partner reporting, increasing diversity spend when and where we can, and attending diversity trade shows.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

* Minimum 3-5 years management experience, preferably in the technology industry

* Demonstrated ability to drive operational processes and procedures

* Should be able to effectively communicate to all constituencies and levels in both written and verbal formats; must be a team player.

* Preferred history and experience in dealing directly with clients

* A keen understanding of sales processes and operational functions for the corporate, SMB, public sector, and distribution markets.

* Experience in managing multiple tasks of varying difficulty and complexity

* Must be numbers oriented and results driven

* Project management working with fixed deadlines.

* Must be able to manage remote locations.

* Some travel required.
