What youll do at Insight:
* Manages, monitors and troubleshoots WAN and LAN connections for various clients. Uses remote monitoring tools and protocol analyzers to troubleshoot, diagnose and solve network problems.
* Perform advanced, complex network analysis, identify problems and design solutions
* Recommend enhancements to network that will improve the quality, performance, security and reliability of the network
* Creates and maintains documentation of networks and network systems.
* Follows project methodologies to complete assigned tasks.
* Provides technical network expertise to others as necessary, including instructing field personnel in basic network troubleshooting and problem resolution.
* Configures new network equipment and connections.
* Handle day-to-day network related tickets
What youll need to join Insight:
* Full-time experience with medium to large scale enterprise networks (4+ years)
* IT customer support and service (4+ years)
* Experience with Cisco Systems switches, routers, wireless networks (3+ years)
* Experience with TCP/IP, routing/switching concepts, and common routing protocols.
* A Bachelors degree in a technical discipline is preferred accompanied with designated certifications. Candidates should have a desire to gain technical skills through advanced certifications or other similar achievements.
* Knowledge proficiency with Cisco IOS with hands-on experience configuring Cisco routers, switches and firewalls
* Knowledge proficiency with IOS, NX-OS, EIGRP, BGP, and GRE
* Knowledge proficiency with WAN technologies including MPLS, QoS, DMVPN and circuiting.
What youll do at Insight:
* Actively participate in the assessment, planning, designing, and implementing of Network solutions including high availability, routing/switching, VPN, security policies and address translation.
* Design, deploy, support and troubleshoot large-scale network implementations based on networking designs.
* Maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to complex hardware/software problems. Develop and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams.
* Work in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
What youll need to join Insight:
* 5+ years implementing and troubleshooting Cisco Networking and Data Center technologies.
* Growth in technical skills through certifications (CCNP/CCDP/JNCIP/CCIE) or other similar achievements is desired.
* Adept in Cisco switching configuration, troubleshooting and installation specifically on the Nexus 7700 and Catalyst 9400 series switches.
* Ability to travel within North America.
* Ability to think on your feet and solve issues.
* Available for evening and overnight work as needed
* Ability to install switches in racks and cabinets
* Ability to work n a team environment with other network engineers.
* Available to handle non-project work such as trouble tickets with minimal oversite
* Voice experience a plus.
* Wireless experience a plus.
