The HVAC Licensed Technician is responsible for providing timely and quality service and repairs of customers' products (Heat Pumps, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning and Oil Furnaces & Boilers) while maintaining a high level of customer service. Additionally, this position promotes and sells additional products and services that directly impact the profitability of the Company. Finally, the incumbent of this position will be required to hold and maintain a recognized professional HVAC license that is required to do business in the state, county or city of residence and Sears will use this license to conduct business in that district.
* Ensures complete protection of customer's property by repairing and servicing Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment and material in a safe, professional and expeditious manner
* Demonstrates a sense of urgency to meet the customer time commitment and render outstanding customer service to each customer
* Responsible for all customer relations and customer interaction during the term of the job, including final inspection, necessary completion of all documentation and the collection of final payment or finance paperwork
* Performs timely and quality repairs in resolving customer complaints
* Diagnoses and repairs appliance and equipment in the customer's home and gives the customer an accurate estimate of the cost of repair if applicable
* Works as a dedicated team member to ensure fast, flexible and expert service to every customer
* Follows the Value Added Service Process (i.e. selling extended warranties, water filters, generating customer interest in new Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems as appropriate by effectively communication the benefits to the customer
* Maintains truck stock inventory and ensures maintenance schedule are within the Company guidelines (i.e. wash truck weekly, oil changes) and ensures tools and equipment are in safe operating condition
* Train and monitor all installation technicians to ensure professional, quality, and accurate code specific installations
* Uses basic tools or instruments to assemble, adjust, calibrate, repair or test various products
* Represents the Company in a business-like and professional manner, including conformance to the Code of Conduct and Sears' Ethical Business practices
* Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements Requirements:

* EPA Certification required
* State Journeyman or Masters Lic required
* Years of Related Experience: 3-4
* Valid Driver's License Required
* Age Requirement: 18+

Required Skills:

* Complete knowledge of all tools, equipment and materials used to perform services on Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) units
* Ability to have reliable transportation or vehicle to drive to and from job sites
* Ability to communicate effectively and clearly, both orally and in writing, with co-workers, managers and consumers
* Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
* Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, twist, reach and climb
* Ability to drive and travel long distances of over 5 hours
* Ability to drive in various weather conditions for long periods of time and in various demographic areas
* Ability to access interior and exterior landscapes
* Ability to access different levels of terrain while performing duties
* Ability to possess valid vehicle insurance
* High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
