Job Description Technical Support Engineer (3rd-Shift)

This position is for a 3rd shift position covering 40 hours spanning Friday-Sunday.

Test Engineering provides technical expertise to numerous manufacturing and development programs within Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) Our work involves electronic hardware for radar, missile and combat systems. An opportunity exists for an engineer to join the Radio Frequency Components (RFC) team responsible for production test at the Andover, MA facility.

Primary responsibilities include supporting test and troubleshooting of Radio Frequency (RF) semiconductor devices, some with embedded analog and digital circuitry. This position requires close cooperation with the Operations team and other engineering disciplines including Product Design and Process Engineering. The candidate will possess good communication skills and be able to work in a dynamic team environment. Responsibilities include:

Responsibilities will include some or all of the following:

* Supporting on-wafer testing in a semiconductor fabrication facility
* Interpreting test requirements and documenting test procedures
* Analyzing data to drive issues to root cause
* Developing and executing improvement projects to increase first pass yields
* Engagement with Design and Process Engineering teams to solve issues impacting production
* Ensuring hardware requirements are met and processes are followed
* Assisting manufacturing operators in the testing & troubleshooting of production hardware

Required Education/Skills:

* Proficiency in RF Circuit Analysis


* General understanding of Electrical test equipment
* Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or a related discipline. Must be either currently pursuing degree or degree must have been granted in the last 18 months.
* U.S. Citizenship is required


Desired Skills:

* Test engineering/previous internship experience
* Software development or debug experience
* Data analysis/performance analysis experience
* A continuous improvement mindset to enhance manufacturing test methods through process modernization
* Sound understanding of statistical analysis techniques
* Demonstrated success working in a fast paced manufacturing environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Knowledge of III-V semiconductors, preferably Gallium Arsenide and Gallium Nitride
* Desire to work in a semiconductor clean room environment
* ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
* Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles
