The Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RI&S) Tarpon program is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to join a small program technical team focused on signal processing in an agile development environment. The candidate will perform systems engineering tasks including interface definition and documenting and contributing to system architecture and design. The candidates will also support planning/development activities by interfacing with personnel from other organizations, attend technical interchange meetings and working groups, and support the Engineering Change Process (ECP) by performing impact assessments. The candidate must have the ability to manage their own time and resources in order to meet assigned deadlines.
Clearance Requirement: Must be a US Citizen with a current SCI clearance.
Required Skills:
* 6+ years demonstrated engineering experience with demonstrated track record
* Experience working in an Agile development environment working closely with SW developers
* Experience in systems engineering functions including: operations concept development, System architecture, System and product design, technical risk management, interface definition and control
* Experience developing and using bid models, metrics and Basis of Estimates (BOEs)
* Familiarity with signal processing concepts
* Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
* Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools
Desired Skills:
* Systems Engineering experience on a government software development contract
* Experience in DevSecOps concepts, including automated testing (e.g. Jenkins)
* Familiarity with Cloud engineering
* Experience in Operations including deployment, DR management and user engagement
* Experience with at least one common architectural framework (DoDAF, TOGAF, FEAF, REAP)
* Experience working in JIRA and Confluence
* Excellent understanding / experience with signal processing
* Experience with Java or C or C++ or Python
* Experience with XMidas or Midas2K
* Qualified Six Sigma Specialist or equivalent
Education Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), or related STEM degree program from an Accredited University/School/College.
Electrical Engineering preferred.
