We have a great opportunity for a Principal Subcontract Specialist who will be responsible for the overall subcontract management activities in support of the Rapid Procurement Cell, which manages the engineering and development procurements for multiple mission areas. This role will provide the opportunity to work in a dynamic growth oriented environment that works with a broad portfolio of programs, various contract types, and contract complexity. You will report to the Section Manager and perform all related Supply Chain requirements including supplier development, requirement solicitations, PO award, post-award management, and close-out activities. This is a fast past environment supporting the growth of our company and the challenges associated with maintaining a competitive advantage and supporting our warfighters.

You will draw from extensive program interaction and/or subcontract management experience to ensure effective subcontract execution in alignment with program objectives. This position may offer the opportunity to telecommute/work remotely at management discretion.

The successful applicant responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Drive the success of meeting financial requirements in support of AOP.
* Drive the success for metrics; Late to Place, Delinquent Material, PR to PO cycle time, etc.
* Leads the Supplier product team and facilitates relationships between program office/functional organizations and suppliers. Utilizes project management skills and techniques when managing suppliers.
* Identify potential sources, evaluating supplier capabilities, executing subcontracts, and managing post-award administration to achieve program objectives.
* Develop plans to promote cost reduction initiatives and performance improvements (technical as well as quality).
* Support program pursuit activities.
* Creates, executes and manages various subcontract types (Cost Type, Incentive Type, Firm Fixed, etc.), using source selection techniques.
* Issuance of RFPs/RFQs in support of requirements supporting customer delivery schedules and various statement of work (SOW) requirements.
* Performs cost and price analysis, develops negotiation strategies, and leads negotiations.
* Executes to customer requirements including government regulations, public law and Missile Systems policies and procedures.
* Manage supplier relationships and performance.
* Negotiates modifications to standard terms and conditions of sale as required.
* Ability to generate comprehensive and compliant purchase orders with minimal supervision.
* Occasional travel may be required less than 20%

Required Education, Skills & Experience:

* Bachelors Degree is required.
* At least 6 years experience in supply chain management, subcontracts/procurement or similar role.
* Knowledge of application of concepts and principles of Subcontract Management.
* Experience in Department of Defense procurement.
* This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Desired Education, Skills & Experience:

* Experience in working with development type of procurement.
* Ability to understand technical requirements of procured hardware and services including Statement of Work (SOW) review.
* Experience developing strategies and leading complex negotiations with supplier.
* Experience/Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS).
* Familiarity with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
* Monitoring of critical milestones and performance progress.
* Ability to process information and manage multiple conflicting priorities to drive to successful outcome (i.e. Multi-task).
* Effective written, verbal and listening skills.
* Ability to work independently with limited supervision and oversight.
* Working in SAP based environment.
* Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
