Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Sr Principal Engr Software to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in San Diego, CA. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, integrating, testing and maintaining software in an Agile development environment.
Essential Functions:
* Develop new software modules supporting cutting edge technology
* Ensure software quality through unit testing
* Support software integration and system testing
* Assist in system design and troubleshooting
* Identify and implement software bug fixes
* Update and maintain software documentation

Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor rsquo;s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university with 9 years or related expereience, or a Master 39;s in STEM with 7 years of related experience, or a PhD in STEM and 4 years of related experience.
* Direct experience in VxWorks, C/C++, and embedded software development
* Active DoD Secret Security clearance or higher
* Direct prior experience using agile development, including participating as Product Owner, Scrum Master, and/or team member in an Agile development environment
Preferred Qualifications:
* An advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other STEM discipline
* Experience with software configuration management and build tools (e.g. Git, Subversion, TeamCity)
* Experience in Object-oriented analysis and design
* Experience with UAV systems
