Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking an Senior Principal Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Palmdale, CA.

Description:

* This position oversees and manages the facilities projects and construction activities and serves as liaison between leadership, program and other customers.
* Act as primary contact for facilities between customers and maintenance for equipment and machinery project activities.
* Gather, review, and finalize requirements data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.
* Plan, design, and oversee the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
* Coordinate with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
* Prepare Scopes of Work and supporting documents for procurement of design and construction services.
* Review and estimate costs, including design, equipment, installation, labor, materials, construction, and other related costs.
* Inspect or direct the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
* Manage and execute multiple facilities projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
* Forecast and report on project status, including key project metrics for Risk, Cost, and Schedule.
* Produce and implement risk mitigation and schedule recovery plans as required.
* Identifies any task that will require special inspection and coordinates with customer and contractors
* Coordinate and update the Air Force as required for projects, budgets, and schedule.
* Work with subject matter experts, suppliers, etc. (as required) to quickly and efficiently troubleshoot and solve issues related to mechanical system, machines and or material assemblies.
* Applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other construction related disciplines. Able to communicate effectively and clearly to present technical approaches and findings.
* Prepares Scopes of Work and supporting documents for procurement of design and construction services.

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:

* A minimum of high school diploma/equivalent and 14 years of combined project management, facilities construction project management, or facilities management experience OR with Bachelor rsquo;s Degree and 10 years of experience with OR Master rsquo;s Degree and 6 years of experience
* Exceptional written skills and the ability to communicate with various levels of leadership to include presentation skills
* Proficiency in MS project, Microsoft Office software applications including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
* Demonstrated capability to perform assignments on time and within budget
* Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

* Active DoD Secret Clearance
* Bachelor rsquo;s Degree
* Understanding of the change management process
* PMP Certification
* Experience with; the design and construction of cleanrooms, design and construction of classified facilities, fire and security alarms and systems and remote monitoring, energy management systems, electrical systems and high-voltage electricity/substations and reliability engineering
* Knowledge of building codes, ADA, local, UFC Criteria, FED OSHA, state and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility
* Prior work experience in facility layout, engineering, electrical, mechanical, HVAC design, plumbing, hydraulics, dynamics, and/or control systems and project management
