Our expertise is the design and manufacture of communications-based specialty products engineered components and subsystems for demanding military, space, commercial aerospace/industrial, and telecom infrastructure applications where function and reliability are crucial.

An inspectors primary function is to complete the in process and final inspection of electronic & electro mechanical assemblies.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

* Position is responsible for inspecting electronic assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering documents, work instructions, customer specifications and industry standards.
* Verify conformance and write nonconformance reports when discrepancies are found.
* Verify rework/repair has been completed in accordance with specified requirements.
* Report inspections and move product in the proper system.
* Stamp/sign off on inspection steps upon completion, approving and releasing the product for shipment.
* Interface with production and engineering on production and product problems.
* Assist production by providing explanations and/or instructions on quality issues and production issues.
* Work closely with quality engineering and manufacturing engineering to improve the process and design for manufacturability.
* Spot audit in the production area to ensure that the proper instructions are being followed and to provide feedback to management to improve the process/system.
* Work closely with engineering on engineering builds and prototypes to point out potential production, quality and reliability problems.
* Assist management with implementing process controls, improvement activities, writing work instruction and inspection instructions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Basic understanding of IPC-A-610.
* Proficient ability to utilize a PC and the Microsoft Office Suite software package.
* Ability to read prints.
* Good manual dexterity.
* Able to manage time and priorities effectively.
* Good problem solving skills.
* Ability to demonstrate effective written and spoken communications skills.
* ISO9001 and AS9100 training, preferred.
* Must be able to use basic hand tools/gauges.
* Must be able to use microscope.

Education and/or Experience:

* Must be a US person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
* High school diploma or GED required.
* A minimum of two (2) years related quality control inspection experience in the electronics manufacturing industry required.
* Experience with the use of inspection tools required.

* Stand, walk, and sit during the entire 8 or 10 hour shift.
* The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds or 75 pounds with assistance.

* Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
* Moderate noise level in the office area.
* Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment when in restricted manufacturing areas.

Work Schedules:

* Normal work hours are 5:30 am to 4:10 pm.
* Normal workdays are Monday - Thursday.
* Lunch period is 40 minutes per shift, unpaid.
* Breaks are two 15-minute per shift.
