Job Responsibilities
As a Material Handler, you will be part of a team that maintains stockroom accuracy, supports our production team by pulling materials and delivering to our manufacturing cells.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Ensure received material is identified with the correct brand part number and other required identifying markings, when put away.
* Put Away material in correct storage locations and record materials in Oracle system.
* Replenish materials from overstock location to supermarket
* Replenish production cells as required.
* Maintains in-process inventory at work cells by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
* Ensures part identification and accuracy throughout the pulling, picking and issuing process.
* Communicate and coordinate material status information with Planner/Buyer.
* Knows and adheres to Company Quality Control System.
* Participation in Kaizan and continuous improvement activities as required.
* Maintain area following 6S criteria to have a clean, safe and orderly working area
* Adheres to established inventory control systems and computer tracking.
* Must demonstrate commitment to safety & continual improvement of OH&S performance, registered standards, company policy, integrity, ethics and legal compliance.
* Performs all other duties as assigned by departmental management.
Minimum Requirements: Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Organization, Scheduling, Analyzing information, dealing with complexity, deadline oriented, time management, process improvement, safety management, inventory control, lifting, and data entry skills.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Education
Individuals in this position are expected to have knowledge of plant layout, warehouse mapping, equipment applications, material requirements and good inventory control practices. Persons shall be forklift certified and demonstrate competency when using scales, compactors, shrink wrap and strapping machines, computers (both PC and RF) and other hand tools.
