The Technical Product Owner is responsible for managing end to end technical design, development, production, enhancements, and support of Products within Sales APC. The candidate will have expertise in implementing and developing Corporate Travel, Agency, B2B Partners and Self-Service IT solutions.
Overview of Responsibilities:
This position will partner with Sales product team, Enterprise Architect, Security team and business product owner to provide technical support for new and existing products within Sales IT Sales Partner Services Product group.
Create and maintain the product backlog for the Sales IT Self-Service, B2B Partner portal, and Incentive systems working closely with the business product owner.
Conduct planning sessions with the teams to prioritize work in upcoming sprints.
Engage directly and daily with delivery teams to execute the project.
Ensure product acceptance and readiness at key phases of the delivery cycle
Develop communication materials and lead communication efforts around the product, priorities and future roadmaps
Attend and lead design sessions with the product team
Assist with design, development and implementation of Sales initiatives
Assist with designing the APIs for model consumption and model execution strategy and to enable efficient integration with client applications.
Ensure that the Delta methodology, standards and procedures are adopted and implemented.
Ensure that the technical solutions meet the customers' business goals and that customer satisfaction with the project and conclusion is high.
Act as a Point of contact for technical issues, creating documentation, monitoring service levels.
Coordinate activities with internal/external technology owners/service providers.
Consult within project team and other Delta teams, with outside vendors or consultants to ensure project or product integrity.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
High School Diploma, GED or High School Equivalency

3-5 years of experience in designing, developing, integrating and running business applications Embraces Diverse thinking, styles, and people
Strong problem solving skills and capability to understand and set direction for complex technology integration
Strong teamwork skills
Knowledge of deploying and managing infrastructures based on OpenStack, and Clouds such as OpenShift, Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
Experience developing, testing and deploying APIs.
Experience building applications based on Microservices Architecture
Experience with VersionOne, GIT (github, or other.)
Expertise in using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Knowledge of building, deploying and scaling applications in cloud platform (AWS - preferred, GCP, Azure).
Candidate must also have excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management.
Additionally, candidate must be a self-learner with the ability to pick up new technologies and provide tangible results.
Ability to understand Airline Corporate travel and distribution strategies, B2B Partnership drivers, and TMC (Travel Mgmt Companies) business drivers, and and adapt and innovate IT solutions that deliver desired business outcomes
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
The Technical Product Owner position prefers a BS/MS degree, notably in a technical or scientific field or equivalent experience.
Software development experience using Java, Angular, Python, or Ruby
Functional knowledge of the airline business or airline IT processes; B2B Partnerships (TMC, and Corporate Travel Mgmt) relationships.
