Core Responsibilities
For Comcast HQ sites conducts the following:
* -Provide EHS leadership, expert advice and guidance to all Comcast HQ locations and employees, including the Philadelphia campus. Be the point of contact for all elements of EHS compliance
* Work closely with EHS COE on implementing EHS programs that drive consistency and improvement across the Division. This includes active participation on Division EHS planning teams, participation and/or leadership of specific assigned projects for the Division and active engagement Comcast EHS COE and other division peers.
* Periodically, may lead and/or support specific corporate EHS COE projects
* Coordinates with other business functions within the Division (HR, Comcast University, IT, Legal Facilities, Communications, Total Rewards, etc.) and key internal business partners in communicating EHS risks and plans/programs to address those risks. Communicates regularly with other business functions.
* Leads development of annual Division EHS goals and metrics, incorporating Division and Corporate goals and metrics.
* Regularly reports on status of goals and metrics to EHS COE leadership.
* Manage direct reports development and succession planning. Conducts performance reviews of direct reports and provides coaching.
* Provides input for budgeting (EHS equipment, ergonomic equipment, EHS related systems improvements etc.)
* Works with business functions to ensure significant EHS incidents are investigated to determine root cause and for development of corrective and preventative actions to reduce the likelihood of reoccurrence. May lead investigation and coordinate communications on incidents considered SIF incidents and incidents requiring reporting to regulatory authorities and have expectation of a regulatory agency investigation.
* Implement COE-led compliance EHS objectives are met including facility assessments, training and corrective action follow up.
* Coordinate and work with country-specific EHS, HR and Facilities representative at non-US locations to assess and facilitate robust EHS compliance programs
* Partner with EHS COE, Real Estate and Legal to provide EHS support to newly acquired businesses
* Supports the development of a diverse workforce within the EHS organization.
* Role will require oversight and working with outside consultants on projects from time to time
* Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
* Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
* Role requires up to 25% occasional travel
