The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking an Experienced Project Management Specialist to support the team located in Houston, TX. This is an experienced project management specialist position within the Development Projects Team in support of the International Space Station (ISS) under NASA contract.

Position Responsibilities

* Leads others and directs all phases of assigned cross-organizational or business unit projects demonstrating proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, and ISO standards).
* Oversight, and management responsibility for a portfolio of small to medium size projects in support of organizational the goals and objectives.
* Identifies key stakeholder project specific objectives and requirements.
* Ensures assigned individuals are executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing appropriate tracking and reporting per plan.
* Provides in-depth analysis of project culminating with lessons learned and historical reports for incorporation into future project plans.
* Provides assessment of team performance to appropriate management.
* Develops solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation.
* Provides in depth analysis; identify lessons learned, provide historical reports to incorporate into future project plans.

Work Authorization

* This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

* Technical Bachelor's degree
* 5+ years of Project Management experience
* 5+ years of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
* 5+ years of experience working with and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

* Excellent organizational skills
* PMP certification
* CAM training or certification

Typical Education/Experience:

* Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

* This position is located in Houston, Texas and does not offer relocation assistance. Applicants must reside in the area or be willing to relocate at their own expense.
