The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for a Senior Project Management Specialist to support the Electronic Unit Programs organization based in El Segundo, CA.

Position Responsibilities

* Responsible for cost, schedule, technical, and risk management for high reliability electronic unit hardware development and delivery.
* Develop and maintain Earned Value baselines and status to plan.
* Define required resources from space electronics engineering, operations, and supplier management to build cross functional unit level teams necessary to execute electronic units design, development, and delivery to programs.
* Coordinate with programs and operations to optimize unit hardware production pipelines and deliveries.
* Develop and maintain statement of work (SOW) for units procured by subcontract and coordinate related make/buy assessments.
* Perform unit sell-offs, project close-out, and document lessons learned for incorporation into future project plans and unit hardware roadmaps.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented information (TS/SCI) Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

* Bachelor Degree or higher in a technical field
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role, leading teams or projects to successful completion
* Minimum 5 years of experience working with military or space electronics
* Able to travel 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

* A current active U.S. Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented information (TS/SCI) Security Clearance is desired
* Minimum 5 years of experience working in ambiguous and fast changing environments
* Experience as a CAM (cost account manager) using EVM (earned value management)
* Experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.)
