The Product Management and Strategy Director serves a critical role on the Beacon Health Options Product and Strategy team. Working within our Behavioral Health business, he/she will be responsible for overall product performance, implementation of complex strategies to enhance product or expand into new markets/segments and the management of existing product features to retain competitive advantage. This senior level individual contributor will lead the strategy and implementation of new products or product enhancements across all lines of business within the DBG-Beacon business. Other responsibilities include driving standardization of product capabilities across programs and regions to promote efficiency and scalability within and across products. This role will be the voice of the customer and must be responsive to the needs of all customers and lines of business spanning public sector, employer, health plan and health systems across Risk and ASO models.
Works as a partner with Anthem product teams to meet the strategic and tactical product goals for Anthem and DBG products and services via Beacons Behavioral Health capabilities. Must be comfortable presenting to executive leadership and working across business units and organizations within Anthem and its affiliate companies.
This individual will be accountable for business plan and business case development for investments to fund enhancements to one or more of the following Beacon products: Beacon Behavioral our Managed Behavioral Health Product, Beacon Crisis Solutions, Beacon EAP and/or Beacon Care Services.

Position responsibilities:
-Responsible for the long-term vision and strategy for one or more specific products and maintenance of a product specific business plan. Accountable for execution of business plan and approved business cases to bring new features to market.
-Serve as a product expert to core clients, sales and account management. Leads discussions, presentations and user groups with customer advisory boards, consultants and prospects to gather market intelligence and identify business problems to solve.
-Work with sales, accounts, and marketing to refine the value story for each product and serve as sales engineers
-Develop and maintain a product roadmap to communicate the vision and strategy to internal stakeholders and the market
-Monitor product performance and the competitive environment to ensure products meet competitive and legislative needs.
-Collaborate with matrix partners across the company to deliver product solutions in a timely and effective manner. Champion initiatives across business units and serve multiple and sometimes disparate stakeholders with different priorities.
-Coordinate presentation, communication, and implementation of all phases of product lifecycle.
-Adhere to product development policies and processes to guide product management and product development activities.
Qualifications
-BA/BS degree
-7 years of experience in product development, innovation, and/or product management in a Healthcare or Managed Care Organization (Behavioral Health experience preferred); or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
-Demonstrated results in three or more of the following areas required: Product management, product development, market strategy, healthcare or behavioral health consulting, BH program management, Market Research.
Highly preferred experience:
-Experience in one or more of the following Behavioral Health products or services: Managed Behavioral Health programs, Crisis solutions, Employee Assistance Programs, BH care directly as a (provider organization or via digital product(s)).
-Strong knowledge and experience with complex Behavioral Health products
-Understanding of Behavioral health system of care
-Experience working in a matrixed environment or shared service with demonstrated ability to influence business unit leaders to align to and adopt product management strategy.
