The Role
As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing operational processes to design, development, test, launch and continuous improve high quality self-service software products called Paramount workflows. In this role you will partner with the greater PSAS organization to understand their business models and generate technical requirements supported by program technology. You will work cross-functionally with product managers, software engineers, business analysts and program managers on medium to large scale projects. In addition, you will develop ownership of process engineering processes to improve the product development lifecycle of Paramount workflows.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Engage with program and business stakeholders to document requirements, create functional specifications and generate process maps (BPMN)
Design, develop, test, launch and improve Amazon Selling Partner self-service software products (Paramount workflows)
Become a subject matter expert on Amazons internal authoring application and workflow engine to develop Paramount workflows
Engage with software development teams to understand and guide evolving program technology
Author content in various markup languages (Mustache(5), Markdown, HTML, CSS)
Understand and leverage Amazon technology and services
Deep dive technical product or operational issues to propose and implement simple and effective solutions
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology, related technical field or the equivalent experience
Experience in a similar role (process development, product design, software development, business process improvement)
Working knowledge of data and process modeling (i.e. process mapping, wire framing, simulation, developing logic, scripting and etc.)
Experience with programming/mark up/scripting languages (Java, JavaScript, Ruby, SQL, Markdown, HTML and CSS)
Experience with scrum and delivering web application products
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Masters degree in related field (technical or MBA)
Ability to learn and adopt new technologies quickly
