The Disability and Leave Services (DLS) Change & Communications Specialist ensures our team and fellow Amazonians are kept informed with access to the best content possible as they navigate various disability, leave and accommodation related services.

The Change & Communication Specialist is an integral team member working with our business operations, program management, compliance, global and external consultant teams to manage complex communications and change management associated to various DLS services. The individual will create content and maintain communications for Amazon employees related to specific disability, leave and accommodation benefits or policies often on a global scale. You will plan and execute change management for assigned projects. Above all, you will keep the employee experience top of mind to develop content and processes committed to improve the employee experience globally.

Key Job Responsibilities:
Own creation and maintenance of communications and content used to inform employees of benefits, policies and processes.
Communicate complex ideas effectively, verbally and in writing, to a wide range of global stakeholders.
Consult with policy, process, and system owners to ensure content is up to date and accurate.
Understand the what, when, why, and how, including benefits of projects and changes within the organization.
Ensure your assigned content and communications are delivered to various teams or groups in a timely manner using internal tools as the vehicle for delivery.
Partner closely with the internal Employee Services content team and Sr. Managers to ensure content publishing parameters are met and maintained.
Work independently in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment.
Meet deadlines, prioritize workloads, and maintain a strong attention to detail to meet organizational objectives and quality measures.
Create tools and mechanisms to capture the voice of the customer and create a culture of trust between the Disability & Leave Services team and stakeholders and/or employees.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic qualifications
Bachelors degree in Journalism, Communications, Legal Studies, Public Relations, or related area of study.
5+ years in a communications and/or change management role.
3+ years writing communications and/or creating support content for a large and broad audience of employees.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred qualifications:
2+ years implementing changes related to HR policy and/or benefits.
HR communications experience
Collaborative and creative with effective communication and influencing skills
Highly determined and motivated to reinforce the mission and culture of the fast-paced, global leaves and disability team through communication.
Experience in an HR or compliance management role.
Experience in administering ERISA-governed plans and communications.
Experience communicating to a diverse, global audience.
Experience implementing changes for a variety of global teams.
An enthusiasm for networking across all levels of the organization, across geographies and communication teams.
Excellent writing and editing skills.
Ability to draft strategic communications using items such as a stakeholder analysis and change impact analysis as a foundation.
