Alexa Music is seeking a Sr. Manager of Product Management to lead a team of Technical Product Managers delivering capabilities for Alexas tier-1 music partners (Amazon Music, Spotify, Apple Music, SiriusXM) and radio partners (iHeartRadio, Entercom, BBC) enabling them to build rich and differentiated audio experiences on Alexa. In this role you will be responsible for creating and effectively communicating the developer vision for Alexa Music, and building and executing on a roadmap of deliverables. This includes partnering with key internal and external stakeholder teams. You will be expected to make appropriate trade-offs to optimize time-to-market, clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal and external teams. You will be frequently working with senior leadership within Amazon, so written and verbal skills are important. Most importantly, you will also be a coach and leader for a talented team of Technical Product Managers.
The right candidate will possess a strong product management background, will have demonstrated experience managing teams and working across complex organizational structures, and experience developing and driving cross-org alignment on a roadmap. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done. You will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, and deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree
8+ years of Product Management experience in a related industry
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.
Excellent oral and written communication skills

MBA or Masters degree
Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Experience coordinating complex product development cycles and software development schedules
Broad technical breadth and depth including familiarity with web services and back-end application infrastructure
Passion for creating innovative solutions for consumers consuming music
Experience delivering consumer software products and services in a high growth environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actions
Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
Experience with developer evangelism.
High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired.
History of teamwork and willingness to roll up ones sleeves to get the job done.
