The Marketing Research and Analytics function is a recently created organization within Prudential to enable data-driven decision making across the enterprise that drives business growth, customer obsession and innovation by developing insights grounded in strategic business acumen and deep understanding of customers and market trends.

About the Role

You will play a key role in a newly created function within the marketing research and analytics organization focused on customer insights. We are looking for someone who can combine strategic thinking and analytical skills to drive customer insights and continue to promote a culture of customer obsession. This person will lead and guide analysts to build structured analyses combining qualitative and quantitative customer data. This will entail analyzing customer activity across online and offline touchpoints as well as diving into the 20M+ customer records to inform decision making. You will partner primarily with Marketing, Product and CX stakeholders to transform data into action. This person should be able to work with little guidance and should have an ownership mentality in driving priorities forward. As the organization pivots from Build mode to operating at scale, this person will get to work in an exciting environment where you will be encouraged to expand your skills, test your creative boundaries, share new ideas, and most importantly - have fun.

Job Responsibilities

* Act as a consultant to the Product and Marketing teams to help drive excellence in customer experience by developing data driven insights
* Refine existing customer segments and cohorts to deepen understanding of Prudentials 25M+ end customers; analyze customer data to identify target segments for marketing campaigns across owned and paid channels
* Understand customer behaviors and needs based on detailed analyses of customer activity on digital properties such as authenticated experience, Prudential App etc.
* Analyze customer interactions on offline channels to identify opportunities for improving the end to end customer experience
* Mine customer feedback across channels to identify pain points and provide actionable recommendations on how to address them
* Cultivate a test & learn environment by creating and analyzing product and marketing experiments
* Evangelize use of data and analytics in everything we do and work with partners to integrate analytical learnings into business decisions
* Tell stories about the customer and the business: who are our most valuable customers and how can we acquire and nurture more of them
* Lead and mentor junior analysts

Qualifications

* Bachelors degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics or Business Administration preferred
* 5+ years of relevant work experience in Customer Analytics, Marketing Analytics or strategy/management consulting
* Consultative nature, with proven track record of using data to answer business questions
* Top-notch stakeholder management, leadership skills and ability to make things happen
* Broad understanding of digital marketing analytics fundamentals Web analytics tools, A/B and MVT testing, content management/publishing & marketing automation technologies preferred
* In-depth practical knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel necessary; data visualization experience such as Tableau a plus
* Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with ability to present and clearly explain insights based on data to non-technical executive audiences
* Prior exposure to financial services or insurance industry considered a plus
