Job Description

OVERVIEW

Engineer with design integration or component release experience on production propulsion/powertrain system applications to provide technical direction for electrical subsystem design, analysis and physical integration.

The broad scope of responsibilities will include providing technical direction for fuel cell system electrical architecture design execution, development and issue resolution.

* Working closely with design release, application and development teams

* Innovating solutions for fuel cell system high voltage integration issues

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Fuel cell electrical hardware integration including interfaces between multiple high voltage power electronics, fuel cell stack or electrical subsystems

* Provide technical direction for fuel cell system design and assembly.

* Responsible for design, analysis and development of electrical subsystems where a considerable amount of creativity and initiative are involved

* Understanding of electrified vehicle system and integration

* Lead Design for Assembly and Design for Manufacturing activities. Modify design based on build learnings.

* Management of physical interfaces-components integration

* Work with the component Design Release Engineers and designers to establish the fuel cell system assembly and dress component math packaging models (as required)

* Confirm all designs meet requirements through analysis, development and validation processes (DFMEA, FEA, DFSS)

* Ensure design is compliant with Bill-of-Design, Bill-of-Material and Bill of Process

* Travel as required to global locations

Additional Job Description

REQURIED QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical or other engineering discipline

* 3+ years experience in electrical hardware design, development or validation

* Familiarity with design and release management processes (EWO, PRTS, etc.)

* Must function well in engineering design team environment and have experience working with manufacturing engineering, and other engineering teams

* Thorough knowledge of design development, test engineering, manufacturing/assembly operations, and engineering procedures

* Organized with strong attention to detail

* Ability to travel to global locations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Master of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or other engineering discipline

* Experience with fuel cell or electrification products, including high voltage systems

* Experience in design for EMC in power electronics modules

* Experience working with global partners

* Development or validation experience, including warranty or root cause analysis
