The Business Risk Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.
Responsibilities:
* Assist the Citi Private Bank (CPB) LATAM in key policy adherence and monitoring.
* Keep the CPB Management in LATAM aware of the risk and control environment of the Business through continuous and open communication.
* Update and maintain a robust Managers Control Assessment (MCA) in compliance with the Citi Operational Risk Policy.
* Gather and complete the required information for MCA and populate monitoring results in the system.
* Ensure adherence to the Citi Operational Risk Policy regarding operational loss approvals and reporting.
* Monitor and follow-up on issues, concerns, and corrective action plans for CPB LATAM.
* Work closely with CPB LATAM Business Risk contacts to develop/share best practices and operate as a unified team.
* For audits and regulatory reviews, assist the Business Risk Manager to prepare and organize deliverables.
* Gather and complete the required information for the internal committees deck.
* Maintain a high degree of technical and policy understanding with respect to business risk processes and controls.
* Assist the Business Risk Manager in projects in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and that deliverables are met.
* Maintain records and follow-up on mandatory training and other control activities for staff
Qualifications:
* 5 or more years of experience in banking compliance, risk management, legal or other control-related function in the financial services industry.
* Ambitious individual with an international outlook and desire to grow
* Strong analytical skills and must be able to multi-task and complete projects on time.
* Should be a self-starter and organized, and must have the ability to work independently, without supervision.
