Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Structurer for its New York, New York location.
Duties: Develop, structure, and execute securitization and financing transactions with the Global Spread Products Department. Develop mathematical computer models and perform economic, financial and statistical analysis for origination and execution of mortgage-backed securities. Process and analyze collateral data, design securitization transaction structures, and model transaction cash flows. Evaluate characteristics of individual loans and collateral pools to determine suitability for inclusion in securitization transactions and create deal structures. Evaluate a range of underlying collateral including agency and non-agency mortgages, single family rental leases, mortgage insurance policies, Ginnie Mae, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac mortgage servicing rights, servicing advances and small balance commercial mortgage loans. Build financial models and run cash-flows in Intex, Excel and Bloomberg using collateral pool information and knowledge of deal structures to calculate analytics inclduing yields and weighted average lives for a range of scenarios to determine attractiveness of a proposed deal structure for a clients financing or risk transfer goals. Monitor and analyze impact of changing macro-economic conditions, including interest rates, credit spreads and housing trends on prepayment and credit risk associated with listed collateral types and deal structures. Review transaction legal documentation including Term Sheets, Offering Memoranda and Circulars, Note Purchase Agreements in coordination with legal counsel, accountants, clients, and deal parties. Prepare business development documents for the groups residential mortgage trading and finance business, reflecting understanding of business models and capital and funding needs of financial institution clients. Analysis and reporting for whole loan bids, acquisitions, warehouse financing, securitizations, and corporate advisory projects.
Requirements: Requires a Masters degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or related field and 3 years of experience as Analyst, Market Analyst, Securitization Manager, Securitization Structurer or related position involving cash-flow and financial modeling and analysis of financial institutions capital and funding needs. Alternatively, will accept a Bachelors degree in the stated fields and 5 years of the specified progressive, post-baccalaureate experience. 3 years of experience must include: Analyzing macroeconomic data and trends, and policy changes related to housing finance; Analysis of business models in the financial services industry and their related strategic, financial, operational, and technological factors; Developing and delivering presentations to clients; Analysis of macroeconomic data and trends. At least 1 year of experience must include: Securitization structuring; Reviewing transaction legal and offering documentation; Fixed income and securitization market convention, including yield calculations, calculations of conditional prepayment rates, constant default rates, loss severity, delinquency standards, day-count convention, interest accrual methods, use of fixed-vs-floating rate structures; and RMBS.
