Citis US Consumer Business includes Branded Cars, Retail Bank & Mortgage and Citi Retail Services. Citi established its Citi Data Management Policy and Standard (CDMP) to govern and manage data in compliance with regulatory expectations. It sets forth the minimum requirements for the implementation of a consistent and controlled approach to create and use data as a critical corporate asset. The Policy also establishes a Governance Model for Data Management, Governance and Quality across Citi. All Citi employees, contractors, and personnel with responsibility for the ownership, production, and consumption of data must manage data in accordance with the CDMP.

This position is in the US Consumer Bank, supporting its data governance related functions as outlined in the CDMP and managed by the US Consumer Analytics (USCA) team.

Summary

Your goal as a EUC Analyst is to work with experts and individual contributors across lines of business to create, manage, and execute end user computing (EUC) solutions and resolve data quality issues identified through the Issues Management Resolution (IMR) process.

In this role, the individual will ensure adherence to Citis Data Management Policy (CDMP) and improve data trustworthiness through the successful management and retirement of EUC solutions and closure of IMRs.

End User Computing (EUC) is the automation of processes by end users in a Business or Function rather than by Technology and is neither registered nor required to be registered in Citi System Inventory (CSI). It includes instances of spreadsheets, databases, business intelligence tools, programming languages, or scripting languages.

Main Responsibilities

Functional

* Provide strategic business program and project management and support for EUC related activities in partnership with CBORC, Process Owners, IMR and Data Steward Teams.
* Collaborate with CBORC, Technology, and Process Owners on EUC identification, registration and remediation activities.
* Develop, Maintain, Socialize EUC processes to ensure consistent adoption of identification, registration and remediation activities.
* Collaborate with EUC owners to confirm risk level, understand functionality, determine patterns, complexity, identify themes, and develop and execute plans for managing and elimination of EUCs.
* Remediate known data quality issues by supporting IMR Teams as needed, in the IMR process life-cycle including: Root Cause Analysis, Remediation planning, implementation, Post implementation validation, and Escalation.
* Execute strategic plans to improve data quality and reduce EUCs.
* Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
* Subject Matter Expert on CDMP, End User Computing (EUC), Issue Management & Resolution (IMR), and knowledgeable with Data Quality and other data-related Citi policies and standards.

Management

* Be a thought leader for EUC prevention, management and elimination. Share best practices. Identify ways to simplify and enhance ways to adhere to Citis Data Management Policy (CDMP). Develop actionable project plans to eliminate EUCs.
* Be a trusted advisor and partner to the supporting functions and stakeholders.
* Present status updates, issues / challenges / risks and solutions to senior management, stakeholders and partners in a succinct manner to drive decision-making and actions.
* Lead meetings to solve issues / challenges / risks by factoring input from partners and diverse points of view.
* Drive culture change to make the organization data savvy and understand data controls and data quality via lunch-n-learn sessions and equivalent forums in partnership with Process Owners, Data Stewards, Data Custodians, Data Providers, etc.

Education & Qualifications

* Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Masters degree is preferred, but not required.
* At least 5 10 years of combined experience in banking and financial services industry and data governance.
* Experience includes managing / leading data and data quality initiatives, controls and risk management, developing or supporting standards / policies and data-related issue management and remediation efforts.
* Working knowledge of data management processes, tools, and applications, including process mapping and lineage toolsets (e.g. Collibra).
