Job Description

Global Risk Review (GRR) provides independent, objective, reliable, valued and timely assurance to the Board of Directors and Committees of Citigroup and Citibank, NA, to the Citigroup Chief Risk Officer, the Citigroup Chief Credit Officer, senior management and regulators as to the effectiveness of credit, capital and collateral risk management and the ability of the Business and Independent Risk Management to identify, monitor, mitigate and control current and emerging risks.

Within GRR is the Cross-Business Review (CBR) team, which includes Collateral Risk Review (CRR), Global Portfolio Review (GPR), Risk Management Quality Assurance (RMQA), and the Global Risk Review Analyst teams. These teams all share a common purpose to provide assurance and assessment of emerging risks and frameworks that cut across multiple businesses, regions and products across Citi.

Position Objective:

The GRR Banking Book Data Analyst and the GRR Trading Book Data Analyst (collectively, the GRR Data Analysts) report to the GRR Data Analyst Team Lead for their respective focus area. The GRR Data Analyst provides meaningful analytical support for the regional or global GRR review teams through portfolio performance analysis and reporting using both banking book and trading book data as well as ancillary reports and systems to provide high level and drill down analysis of assigned entities or portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

* Identify and analyze situations that create risk for Citi, using various resources such as multiple risk systems and knowledge of the elements of Risk

* Use tools and techniques to effectively identify and assess trends and risks

* Analyze and interpret data to make conclusions or recommendations

* Communicate findings of analysis to GRR Lead Reviewers and GRR senior management

* Mentor junior analysts

* Other items as required to execute efficient, consistent and value-added review activities

* Gather deliverables and/or prepare presentations to meet internal and Regulatory needs

* Support the GRR Chief Operating Officers team and other non-review GRR functions in special projects

Knowledge / Experience:

* Between 2 and 5 years work experience in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or similar with Credit, Basel Capital, Accounting or financial statement analysis experience

* Formal Credit, Reporting, Basel, CCAR or Collateral experience or understanding of financial accounting standards (international and/or domestic) is beneficial or an aptitude to learn

* Knowledge of Citis organization and systems preferred, specifically in how systems work together, reporting capabilities and the ability to navigate the nuances of the trading book

* Level will be determined based on experience

Skills/Competencies:

* Advanced Tableau and analytical skills

* Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, Access, Word, Visio, etc.)

* A natural curiosity to deep dive into data trends and variances

* Energetic, flexible, proactive and responsive team player with the interest to learn, take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment

* Excellent time management and organizational skills

* Detail oriented with ability to work independently and prioritize workload

* Strong written and verbal communication skills - ability to express and communicate concisely and clearly with various levels of management

* Strong interpersonal skills

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field
