Director, Program Management

As a Program Manager in Capital Ones Enterprise Product and Platform (EP2) division, you will drive strategy and execute on high priority enterprise level initiatives for both EP2 and the company with a focus on driving implementation of the companys platform strategy.
You will work with smart and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on the companys bottom line. You will take on important and exciting responsibility from day one, working with key stakeholders across the company.

You will act as a Program and Intent Lead for driving the execution of Platform Convergence and Standards Implementation throughout Capital Ones enterprise platforms, products, and services.

General Responsibilities:

Leading large, complex programs while providing strategic direction to stakeholders, peers, and direct reports.
Designing, developing, and managing program/project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements
Ensuring projects are being documented appropriately to mitigate risk and achieve schedules
Leveraging problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and risks are appropriately mitigated
Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure great delivery
Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent program management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment.
Managing program communications with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes
Managing and leading a team of program/project managers

Qualified candidates for this role will have:

An appreciation of and background with Enterprise-level platforms, products or services
Experience with different product delivery methodologies (agile, waterfall, etc) and the ability to apply the right approach to the right situation
Understanding and appreciation for the role of a centralized PMO group responsible for grooming and prioritizing intent
Ability to drive creation and facilitation of senior level governance meetings
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
Excellent problem solving and influencing skills

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree or Military experience

* At least 8 years of Project Management experience

* At least 1 year of People Management experience

* At least 1 year of experience leading a program office for multiple workstreams

* At least 1 year of experience in tech, product management and project management

Preferred Qualifications:

* Masters / MBA degree

* 10 + years of Program and Project Management experience

* 3 + years of People Management experience

* PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
