Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Water Resources Intern be based in Chicago, IL.

This position is expected to begin in May 2021.

With more than 3,200 Water professionals in all major markets throughout the United States and Canada, AECOMs Water business line leverages nearly a century of local, national, and international project experience to provide todays municipalities, industries, and governments with cost-effective solutions to their Water challenges. We deliver our servicesfrom environmental planning studies to detailed design, construction management, and operations and maintenanceto a wide range of public and private sector clients. Our public sector work encompasses everything from small rural communities, to large urban centers, to agencies with regional responsibilities. Our private sector work includes assignments for multiple commercial/industrial sectors, including oil and gas, chemicals, power, food and beverage, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals.https://aecom.com/markets/water/

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

* Run models, calculations, and designs software

* Work on small segments of broad tasks

* Apply engineering principles to develop effective solutions

* Perform standard computations and/or analysis

* Apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results, and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes

* Construction management of submittal documents such as RFIs, product data submittals, and change requests.

* Acquire training in industry-standard computer software (software may include StormCAD, SewerCAD, WaterCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD Plant3D, Revit, BIM360, PlanGrid, and Bluebeam)

Minimum Requirements

* Must be currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Water Resources

* Must have completed the third year of study in the applicable program

Preferred Qualifications

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs

* Experience with CAD and MicroStation Software
