The Bank of New York Mellonseeks a Principal Developer in Jersey City, New Jersey to consult with internal business groups toprovide high-level application software development services or technical support. Requirements:Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and ten(10) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or relatedoccupation: Building server side solutions using Java; Multithreading collectionsand exceptions handling mechanisms and expertise in frameworks includingSpring, Spring Boot, Spring-Security, Spring-Batch, Spring-Cloud to build cloudready systems that can scale, be fault tolerant and highly resilient; Building,designing, and configuring client-side solutions designed to handle largenumber of users with technologies involving HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, andAngular to provide augmented user experience; Developing smart solutions usingcaching frameworks including Hazelcast and Gemfire to reduce latency andimprove throughput; Developing and designing solutions using polyglotpersistence involving databases Oracle, Vertica, and Elasticsearch to handlelarge volume, velocity, and variety of data; Synthesizing business, functionalrequirements, and articulating through design patterns represented by use-casediagrams, class diagrams, and sequence diagrams to comply with the standards asimposed by enterprise software architecture principles; Developing code byadopting testing frameworks including Cucumber, Junit, Selenium to deliverreliable and quality software applications to banking operations; Utilizing Gitversion control GitHub, Visual Studio, IntelliJ, Java, Python, C++, and SQL todevelop and maintain master data management system; Utilizing Agile developmentprocesses and tools including Confluence, JIRA, and Kanban to providetransparency in the software development process to application stakeholdersand assist with rapid software delivery; and Developing application scriptsusing python, perl and bash and configuration of Jenkins to automate continuousintegration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD), and to improve operationalefficiency by reducing error and minimizing cost.
