The Impact Youll Make in this Role

As a Product Responsibility Liaison you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

* Supports New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to minimize Environmental Health Safety and Regulatory (EHS&R) risks and identify sustainability opportunities.
* Assesses and manages product safety risks relative to human health and the environment
* Documents EHS&R activities for existing and new products and technologies within the corporate Life Cycle Management (LCM) database and other systems of record as appropriate
* Interact with customers and suppliers as needed per Regulatory/Sustainability activities
* Maintains U.S. material regulatory compliance and assists on other regions of the world on assigned product lines
* Maintains compliance files as mandated by division, corporate and/or external policies for assigned product lines
* Support the division by responding to societal trends and customer concerns relating to product transparency and regulatory compliance to include Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS), Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) regulations and others
* Communicates with business management, division and corporate staff, manufacturing facilities, and regulatory bodies
* Educates, anticipates, monitors and influences material regulatory developments and product sustainability requirements

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

* Bachelors degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
* Two (2) years combined experience in regulatory, laboratory or quality in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

* Bachelors degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related discipline from an accredited institution
* Three (3) years of experience working with global customers
* Experience working with suppliers to obtain composition and specific chemical information
* Experience working on and organizing multiple priorities
* Exceptional organization, as well as written and verbal communication skills

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.
