Primary Purpose:
Assists in the planning and performance of risk-based information
systems audit projects.
Principal Duties:
- Evaluates internal control systems and identifies risks using
detailed knowledge and practical experience in risk management,
business process evaluation, disaster recovery and business
resumption planning, system development, acquisition and
maintenance, e-commerce, computer forensics and investigation
techniques and data security, integrity and availability
methodologies.
- Reviews and evaluates adherence to the Compendium of Internal
Controls, Information Security Policy and Procedure Document (ISPPD), industry standard
practices, and applicable government regulations.
- Provides technical support to internal and external customers.
- Is responsible for all of, or a phase of, the completion of assigned
projects.
- Applies current knowledge of computer science theory and various
mainframe and client-server applications and telecommunication
control techniques.
- Prepares audit planning documents, work papers and audit reports
according to department standards
