Description

Responsible for application systems analysis and programming activities for a group. Conducts feasibility studies, time and cost estimates and the establishment and implementation of new or revised applications and programs. Assists in projecting software and hardware requirements. Confers with and advises team members on procedures, technical problems, priorities and methods. Consults with personnel in other Technology areas to coordinate activities. Prepares activity and progress reports regarding the activities of the development group.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelors degree, or equivalent work experience
* 5 or more years of related experience in information systems technology

Preferred Skills/Experience

* Considerable knowledge of systems technology and functional area
* Strong technical and business knowledge of organization policies and procedures
* Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated analytical, project management and tactical planning skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Technical Qualification

* Experience in Core Java, preferably version 1.8 or higher
* REST APIs and Microservices, knowledge of JSON (Java Script Object Notation) handling
* Frameworks like classic Spring or Spring Boot
* Experience in DevOps processes, CI/CD (Continuous Development/Continuous Integration) pipeline development and orchestration
* Experience with Cloud platforms like GCP (Google Cloud Platform) or AWS (Amazon Web Services)
* Build tools like Apache Maven, Jenkins
* Knowledge in Agile Methodologies and experience of working in agile projects
* Knowledge of Kafka, Cassandra, any NoSQL database e.g. MongoDB, Orient DB, CouchDB etc.
* Experience with GitHub or GitLab
* Experience with tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, Kibana etc.
