To set up and operate CNC machines to fabricate aircraft parts from extrusions JOB
RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. Sets up and operates CNC machines to fabricate aircraft parts from extrusions.
a. Review set-up sheet, secure vise jaws/holding fixtures to machine bed, and load required cutting tools.
b. Observe machine operations for proper functioning. Edits programs when necessary to correctly fabricate parts.
II. Requires frequent contact with Manufacturing Engineering to coordinate machine operations on tool proving and production parts.
III. Uses hand tools such as wrenches, hammers, and precision measuring instruments such as scale, protractors, calipers, and micrometers.
IV. Responsible only for own work.
V. Performs other related duties as required.
