JOB SUMMARY:
To remove burrs, nicks and rough edges from sheet metal parts.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. Operates a variety of power/hand tools and semiautomatic and/or standard deburr equipment to remove burrs, nicks, scratches, rough and sharp edges from sheet metal parts.
a. Perform routine hand deburring operations such as sanding, polishing, grinding and finishing part in accordance with accepted shop standards.
b. Selects proper machine pressure setting according to material specifications.
c. Secures, mounts, and replaces abrasive pads as required.
d. Exercises care and judgment while loading conveyer feed for proper size parts and machine capacity.
II. Requires close visual attention while work is in progress to prevent damage to parts or machine.
III. Responsible only for own work.
IV. Performs other related duties as required.
