Global Tools and Storage (GTS) a division at Mission, TX site is looking for Team Leads for our Battery department who must be hands-on individuals familiar with the manufacturing environment, high energy level, career oriented as well as focused on continuous improvement. The Team Leads will provide leadership to ensure team meets daily goals stablished.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but not limited to.

* Reports to Department Supervisor any problems with equipment, associates and processes in the area.
* Monitors and maintains safety practices/techniques to ensure a safe work environment including proper PPE and machine guarding prior to start of shift.
* Conducts monthly safety dialogue discussions
* Monitors and maintains quality levels in accordance with standards
* Creates cross-develop training programs to make the department more effective and flexible
* Assigns/Prioritizes and directs all work activities within the assigned areas.
* Supports Supervisor as a backup for designated duties.
* Coordinates communication within department and with other departments as required.
* Resolves problems to better serve the Customer and/or improve productivity.
* Supports Lean & Kaizen initiatives and drive continuous improvement
* Provides measurable data (reports, etc.)
* As a Line Leader, possess the ability to motivate workers within the team to perform to the best of their abilities.
* Fosters and promote a TEAM environment
* Assigns individuals to specific job tasks.
* Capable of perceiving problems as they develop and communicate such to immediate supervisor.
* Maintain 5s in the area on a daily basis.
* Other duties may be assigned to meet the business needs.

Education and Experience:

* Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience on manufacturing environment a plus.
* High School Diploma/GED required. 2 years of Technical or trade school preferred.
* Previous Supervisory experience required.
* Demonstrate Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
* Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills.
* Able to work with a minimum supervision.
* Must possess strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
* Self-confident, motivated and pro-active.
* Ability to Multi-task.
* Must be able to work 12-hour shift and overtime if needed to assist business needs.
* Schedule Flexibility. Able to rotate shifts.
* Bilingual (English/Spanish)
